August was a busy month for Soy Reyes Fine Art! Screenshot 2026-08-06 083531 ?? Paradise I'm so excited to share that I've completed Paradise, a 30x40 oil painting that has brought me so much joy to create. This piece is vibrant, playful, and full of color. There is something about standing in front of it in person that just makes me smile-and I hope that energy comes through to whoever gets to experience it. I truly believe that the joy we put into our art can find its way to someone else, and my hope is that the vibration I felt while painting Paradise will bring that same happiness to someone else. The original of Paradise is currently on display at The Bart on Aviles FL11D Aviles St, St Augustine, FL 32084 Augustine. Cj Drawing Cj Shawl Drawing Shawl Drawing - work in progress ?? Mentoring the Next Generation One of the most rewarding parts of my year has been mentoring Caleb, a talented young artist preparing his portfolio for Ringling College of Art and Design. Over our time together, I've watched Caleb grow not only as an artist, but also in his confidence and his ability to make his own creative decisions. He has learned to look at his work with a more critical eye-not to tear it apart, but to ask, "What can I do to make this stronger?" Watching that transformation has been incredibly special. Our sessions have been about much more than technique. We've talked about composition, storytelling, artistic choices, and finding the courage to trust your own voice. And honestly, I've learned from Caleb too. Every session reminded me that mentoring is a two-way experience. I'm so proud of the work he has created and excited to see where his artistic journey takes him next. Being able to encourage another artist is a gift, and I'm grateful I had the opportunity to be part of Caleb's journey. ???? Casa Monica Sold Casa Monica Sold ??? A Special Milestone: My First Corporate Sale! I'm so excited to share a very special milestone in my journey as an artist-I sold my first piece to a corporate client! The painting is a commission featuring the iconic Casa Monica in St. Augustine, a place that feels so connected to the beauty and history of this city I've called home for so many years. Seeing my work move into a corporate space feels like such an exciting step for Soy Reyes Fine Art. Every painting I sell is meaningful to me, but this one feels especially significant because it represents a new chapter and a new possibility for my art. I'm incredibly grateful to the client who trusted me to create this piece and excited to see where this journey takes me next. One painting. One opportunity. One more reminder that dreams really can grow into something bigger. ?? Replace This Text with Your Heading ?? Plein Air at The Bart on Aviles I was honored to be invited to paint plein air in front of The Bart on Aviles during the annual Aviles Street Festival. Aviles Street is the oldest street in St. Augustine and believed to be one of the oldest in the country. It rained, the sun came out, and the festivities continued! I loved capturing the energy of the day while people celebrated and enjoyed this beautiful historic street. And the best part? The finished painting has already found its collector! I can't wait to deliver it. ???? Aviles Street Festival Plein Air Aviles Street Festival Plein Air Lady in Red Lady in Red Sari Sold Sari ?? Finding New Homes Two of my paintings, Lady in Red and Sari, have found their new homes with private collectors! I'm always so flattered when someone connects with a painting enough to want to take it home with them. Every sale encourages me to keep painting, keep creating, and keep sharing my work with the world. A great big thank you to those special collectors who believe in my art and choose to make a piece of it part of their lives. ???? Me Me ??Until Next Time ?? I'm truly blessed and I give God all the glory for allowing me the space, time, imagination and connections to keep creating. I look forward to staying connected.
